The World Naked Bike Ride
Since 2003 WNBR has been protesting against oil dependency and celebrating the power and individuality of the human body. In 2006, there was a shift towards simplifying the message and focusing on cycling advocacy.
It is also a great excuse to enjoy naturism and raise public awareness of the acceptability of social nudity.
The 2004 WNBR was in 28 cities, ten countries and four continents. By 2010, WNBR had expanded to 74 cities, in 17 countries.
Though some rides remain immensely popular there has been a decrease in the number of rides in recent years and the location count has dropped again post Covid.
ANW have created this area partly to help encourage interest in re-establishing rides in those lost locations and organising rides in brand new locations.
Initially the results here will be based on rides that have been given a 2022 date, and the "lost" rides will be added with historic information.
Some rides particularly in the USA, like to withhold information about the rides location until very last minute. If anyone can supply ANW with information so people can make plans to join these rides that would be great.
If you have been on any of the listed rides then please do review and rate, leave comments and maybe leave a photo or two in the page's album - if you have lots of photos you want to share they do consider making your own personal album based on the ride in the Album's area. If you have been to a ride that is not listed yet, and want to share your thoughts and images then tell ANW about the venue and it will be listed as a priority.
If you have any current news to add to any of the rides - route, next ride date, organisers email/website; or information on rides not listed here either historic or planned; or you are an organiser of a ride or would like to organise a ride then please contact Team-ANW at [email protected].
