Summary:
Suomen Naturistiklubi (lit. The Naturist Club of Finland) is a non-landed club that generally meets at indoor sauna and swimming faclities in Turku about once a month during the colder seasons (approx. September to April) and arranges a few open-air events when the temperature permits naturism outdoors (typically late May to August). In addition there may be a varying number of topical events and excursions, including one-day tours to visit Helsinki saunas and clothing-optional pool nights. The club is likely to resume its activities as soon as the current restrictions on meetings (due to the 2020 pandemic) are lifted.
The club welcomes visitors in its events. There is no pre-registration needed to attend the regular sauna and swim meetings, but some of the other events may have registration and a cap on the number of attendees. Non-members are expected to apply for club membership after their two first visits.
SNC is open to all applicants, including single males. This tends to make men a majority of participants at SNC events, but usually not overwhelmingly so.
