Maslin Beach is the closest nude beach to Adelaide, less than an hour's drive from Adelaide city-centre.
It was the first Australian beach to achieve legal status as a nude beach in 1975.
Nude bathing is permitted for a long 1.5 km on 3km beach, so do not strip off until you come to the white sign which is located at the Southern end by the huge white sandstone cliffs. The southern end is more picturesque; it is where the caves and crevices of the ochre-coloured cliffs curve to form an idyllic cove of soft golden sand and azure blue sea. Feeling like your very own piece of paradise, listed within Aussies top 20 of 100 best beaches, it is not hard to see why. Facing St Vincent’s Gulf, this a very beautiful long, wide, flat, sandy, sheltered beach, with crystal clear waters offers an excellent place to run, walk and enjoy the sunset.
