Buchan Point is a point within Queensland and is nearby to Ellis Beach and Williams Reserve Cairns.

The view of Buchan Point is the first coastal vista that drivers see north of Cairns, and consequently, there is a parking area by the highway where many tourists stop to record the view. Located at the very southern end of Ellis beach and is the most popular unofficial clothing optional beach in the area, and has been so since the 50's.

The beach faces north-east and measures approx 1.2 km and is moderately steep and narrow at high tide. Buchan is a relatively safe beach under normal low waves, with some low surf at low tide. Situated in an isolated cove and backed by cliffs. There are several houses at the southern end of the beach.
