Kambah Pool is located in Tuggeranong, less than 20 minutes south of the city. Kambah Pool isn't actually a pool. It is a stretch of the beautiful Murrumbidgee River that has a sandy beach for swimming and for kayakers to come ashore on their trip down the river.200m downstream from Kambah Pool in the northern section is set aside for nude bathing and was designated as so back in 1970s.

This is Canberra's only nudist area. Unfortunately, the signage with the word "nudist" on it was collected by locals, so it is now described as the "Rock Pool" on the signage as you drive in.

Kambah Pool is a sandy beach with enough room for plenty of people to spend a lovely day relaxing on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River and enjoy a cool dip.
