Velke Darko is the largest pond in the Vysocina Region of the Czech Republic and situated just 10 km from zdar nad Sazavou. Sometimes also called "the Highlands ". The pond has an area of 206 hectares, but despite being large, it is rather shallow, the maximum depth is 4 m , the average depth is 1.5 m.

As well as water-sports the surroundings also attracts tourists, biking, mushroom picking and horse riding. The water quality is good and the pond is located within beautiful countryside with extensive forests. The sandy shores make it a very popular place with families with children. In the reeds north of the beach there are many other small FKK plaques (the last beach in the corner by the nature trail is already textile). This is probably the best naturist location in the area.
