The green beach of Blauelsand is located at the Blauelsand pond (Strasbourg-Robertsau), about 10 km north of Strasbourg, in the direction of the port aux pétroles. Located on France's eastern border and on the west bank of the upper Rhine adjacent to Germany and Switzerland, Blauelsand is very popular flooded quarry north of Strasbourg lies next to the Rhine River.
Authorized to naturism by municipal decree of June 28, 1989. This gravel beach is one of the only mixed naturist beaches in Strasbourg. The beach stretches from the green beach of Blauelsand up to Leutescheim. The place is public.
There are people of all ages. The calm reigns despite the crowd that comes from the first rays of the sun. A lovely spot where you can witness the wild animals quietly going about their business.
Swimming is technically forbidden, but many nude sunbathers gather here nonetheless. This site is reminiscent of the small quarry lakes Baggerseen that are popular nudist areas in Germany.
The southern pond Rohrkopf, is textile. The middle pond which has placemark pinpoints is Blauelsand, and the entire pond is officially designated for nudity. It is a hugely popular nude recreation area where practically everyone is naked. It enjoys a mixed crowd mainly families.
