Terwilliger Hot Springs is a clothing optional, magical lava-fed hot spring in the middle of the Cascade Mountains, near McKenzie Bridge in Oregon.
There is no day pass to buy for your car, but you will park and then pay a small day use fee to use the hot springs. There is a park ranger there to take your money. The pools are closed for cleaning 8-noon on Thursdays, so you'll want to avoid that time. There is an easy short hike to reach the 5 pools, with the one situated at the top being the hottest (107-111) and leading down into a bath like temperature. There is also a cold stream that runs along side of it. Many people use the bucket and dump cold water over themselves after soaking in the super hot water. You will find that people tend to gather in pools with others who were similarly clad or unclad as the case might be.
Besides the hot springs, one can go swimming in the reservoir to the waterfall that you walk past going to the hot springs. Very refreshing and a unique experience.
