The best-known swimming spot near here in the Mad River is the Punch Bowl. It's off the west side of Route 100, in the town of Warren.It is a beautiful spot with water cascading over boulders.There are several roomy pools and low rocks for shallow diving and sunning. Some of the pools are as much as 10-feet deep. For children there is a small beach. There is also a lovely, back-massaging waterfall, and a short chute which can be slid down if water level permits.There is a firmly-established tradition of clothes-free swimming and sunbathing.The caretaker is onsite to assure that high standards of behavior prevail.
