Miacomet Beach is Nantucket's recognized nude beach. It is on the south side of the island 3 miles from Nantucket town.This ocean surf beach has fine, golden sand and harbors very heavy surf and strong current making it easy for surfers to catch a wave but more difficult for families to enjoy due to a narrow sand area. Nudity is unofficially tolerated at Miacomet beach about a 20 minute walk west of Surfside along the beach (2/3 mile). Motor vehicles are banned on the beach to preserve the dunes.If you’re looking to escape the crowds, park and walk down to this secluded beach haven.
