Described as one of Europe’s best beaches this eight mile stretch of long golden sand is one of the treasures of the Pembrey Country Park.
With its lifeguards and flat sands this safe friendly beach provides excellent access and facilities for disabled visitors and young children.Pembrey boasts a fantastic mix of traditional seaside attractions such as crazy golf and beach entertainers coupled with more modern facilities such as an impressive dry ski slope, toboggan run and a charming miniature railway.
A perfect way to enjoy the magnificent views across Carmarthen Bay to Tenby and the Gower is to hire a bicycle and take one of the well-marked cycle routes through the spectacular scenery of Pembrey Country Park. The beach used by naturists at Cefn Sidan is located on the coast of Carmarthen Bay, between Kidwelly and Burry Port.
The beach is edged by a belt of sand dunes", and backed by a pine forest.
Cefn Sidan has a long history of use by naturists but it has faced some controversy and the local council have been discouraging naturism since 1998. and this still continues.
Signs at the entrance to the beach and literature given out at Pembrey Country Park state nudity is not permitted. Many naturists continue to ignore them
