Føren Jessens Sand is a beautiful 300 m wide sandy beach located on the peninsula west of the northern Fano.

Due to wide open spaces you will find many naturists bathe here.The water, which is seen on the map between Søren Jessens Sand and the Fanø island itself is frequently dry. You are not allowed to drive out there, but you can ride your bicycle, and the beach is quite good for that.

Over time there has been several drownings from the tide coming in quickly. Be careful as it can be dangerous for strangers to go about in hazy weather and in the dark if you walk towards the lights of Nordby, it leads you out into the water between Søren Jessens Sand and Nordby.
