The cove of San Pedro is located about 4 kilometers from the Nijar neighborhood of Las Negras. It has a spring that has made it an oasis around the arid lands of the park.
Cala de San Pedro cove is permanently inhabited by a community of people who love nature, the practice of nudism and solitary places, and live primarily from the making of manual articles made of leather, shells or other materials. These inhabitants have built their homes with materials from the area and live disconnected from modernity and in harmony with the environment.
During the summer months, the number of inhabitants increases and there will be several tents belonging to young people who have gone to spend time among the habitual inhabitants.
There is natural drinking water which has made living for the inhabitants easier. In the same cove one can also make a visit the ruins of the Castle of San Pedro.

- Directions Cala San Pedro is an isolated beach and the only way to reach it is on foot via a very narrow path or by sea. The walking path takes approx an hour each way. The trail starts to the left of Las Negras village, follow the directions to Cala San Pedro, which will take you north to the farmhouse of Estanquillo. this is where you will park your car.You will notice a track which is wide and easy to walk, the first part is uphill but then the walking path softens above the cliffs of the coast. Please remember during Summer there are no shaded areas on the trail.If you do not want to walk the other option is to rent a boat in Las Negras, and travel by sea to the cove, the cost is approx 15 euros.
