The beach of Xagó, is located in the town of Llodero halfway between Avilés and Cabo de Peñas, the northernmost point of Asturias.
Playa de Xagó is an extensive wild beach about 2 km long and offers to its visitors golden sands and wind dunes of a high scientific value; and is included in the Protected Landscape of Cabo de Peñas.
It's strong swell, makes it very suitable for surfing, but swimming here must be undertaken with caution. It also enjoys great popularity among surfers. On the other hand, in its high cliffs of Capo Nero paragliding and many clubs meet here to fly. At dusk, on the shore, it is frequent to see a multitude of fishermen, since it is a place of recognized fame by its seabass. It is a very open beach and very exposed to the northeast winds.
The beach is rated medium / high occupancy, and is frequented by naturists in the diverse zones of the dunes. This cove has a feeling of immense, solitary. In spite of being very busy, its extension makes it a quiet beach.

- Directions Departing from Avilés, take the AS-238 road towards Luanco. You will pass industrial premises of the CSI, turn left at the signpost to Zeluán.Continue until reaching Zeluan. Travel on the AS-329 until it links with the GO-15, there is a turnoff to the right. This route takes you to the beach.There is a bus service from Avilés.
