Punta de Calnegre is often a desert beach of sand, stone and boulders. That half belongs to Mazarrón, and the other half to Lorca.
In the middle of the beach there is a house known as "La Casa Colorada", which served as a summer residence to the President of the Government Felipe González in the early 80's.
If Playa de Puntas de Calnegre is crowded with people, continues until the next beach; where at the end of this beach is the small fishing village of Calnegre, in the shadow of the Regional Park of Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre.
Entering the Regional Park you will find several coves of crystal clear water: Calnegre, "Bath of the Women" or until the one of Siscal. If you have arrived here, it is worth taking a mile and a half for a track already in worse condition and get to Calahonda, where you will not find anyone dressed.
