Located in the southwest of Ribeira is the jewel of the beaches Playa de Vilar ( Playa Do Vilar in Galician).
This excellent undeveloped beach is located in the midst of a virgin environment within the dune complex of Corrubedo, declared natural site of community importance. It is formed by the beaches that are joined: Anguieiro, or Vilar, A lagoon, Rio do Mar, and Ladeira, making them together have a length of 5 kilometers which is walkable at low tide.
Surrounded by abundant vegetation, forests and orchards this beach offers almost 2200 m2 of the surface of white and fine sand. This blue flag beach is very popular for naturists and although it is not signposted, naturism is tolerated here.
