Praia Moinhos is a small unspoilt beach of black sand on the north coast just to the west of Porta Formosa, embedded between dunes with a lovely beach-side cafe which overlooks the ocean selling reasonably priced cafe food.
The sea can be a bit choppy, but there is a stream in the centre of the sand which is much enjoyed by kids. Naturists enjoy the tranquility of this space.
