Praia do Furadouro is located north of the well-known Furadouro beach, in Ovar, Aveiro district. close to two major cities, Porto and Aveiro. Known as a beach of fishermen and surfers the extensive sandy beach of Furadouro is bathed by a strong Atlantic swell.
The water quality is good- the beach has a European Blue Flag award – and the water’s edge is patrolled by Lifeguards in season.
Due to erosion, the area is getting narrower and narrower. In the center of Furadouro, there are bars and cafes facing the sea. Beyond the forest area, there is the estuary, whose calmer waters are used by windsurfers, you can also enjoy pleasant excursions by boat. Naturism is practiced in the most distant areas of the access points.
