Located in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo, Praia da Amalia who owes its name to the artist Amália Rodrigues who visited here often is a beautiful beach offering natural charm, in its almost pure state, is very frequented by naturists and also meeting conditions for the practice of surfing and sport fishing.
Difficult to find and involves a fair hike to get down to only adds to its appeal! It is also one of those beaches that virtually disappears at high tide, although, there is a wonderful stretch of sand when the tide is out. To the southern end of the beach is a small stream that cascades down the cliff face.
