Spiaggia de La Vela beach is located on the south side of Portonovo Bay, in the centre of the Adriatic coast and the Marche region.
The ocean with its turquoise and blue cobalt colours has a backdrop of rocks and is a good spot for snorkeling and small dives.
Divided into two coves the first cove is large and is characterized by very big rocks. The second cove is very small, offering fine gravel, is the privileged destination of naturists.

- Directions To enjoy Spiaggia de La Vela beach without risk, you can rent a canoe, a pedal or dinghy at the beach resorts of Portonovo then travel to the preferred cove.By car, drive along the Conero Provincial Road to Portonovo. Arriving at the Welcome Roundabout, which signals the way to the bay, you go down a road lining up Mount Conero. At the top of the road leading to Portonovo, there are ample parking areas with a regular shuttle bus service. From the village you go down to the bay reached the beach ... you walk south past the church you walk until you reach the rock of Vela. At this point you have to climb a rock very high.There are always strings that help, but the climb is quite dangerous and should go with shoes.
