Located within the town of Cattolica Eraclea, the beach Eraclea Minoa takes its name from Greek city (Minoa) whose remains today is an extraordinary archaeological site. The beach is inside the nature reserve Foce del Fiume Platani.
It extends for about 5 km and is characterized by fine golden sand, which alternates within some places with small stretches of pebbles. The part of the beach frequented by naturists extends from Capo Bianco at the mouth of the river Platani.
Quite & serene pine trees below the cliffs. Not the best beach for swimming because of shallow shores but you absolutely must continue to the white rocks where you can take a mud bath.
