Sougia is a charming little fishing village located on the south coast of Crete. Starting from the small harbour of Sougia (west) and stretching to the east for 1.5km, this long crescent beach is organised in the following way;
Far left the naturist area where you can enjoy the small cove, hidden between rocks and protected from prying eyes.
Centre - sun beds and umbrellas to rent costing very little.
Far right a deserted area of pebble beach close to the little harbour.
Along the beach there are plenty of tamarisk trees where you can find shade. Non authorized camping is tolerated here. Entrance to the water is a bit steep, but not unpleasant. The water is clear ans fresh.

- Directions Sougia is 70 kilometres south of Chania.By car, take the road to Agia and Alikianos. Drive for approximately 1,5 hours, driving mostly downhill on a winding road. It is somewhat of a white knuckle drive with sheer drops along hairpin narrow roads makes quite an adventure.
