Pomponio State Beach (Dairy Gulch)

Destination

Dairy Gulch situated in a valley in San Mateo County, California and close to Pomponio Beach. This is a “secret beach”  which although not designated as a naturist beach the locals do use it as such. It is a little hard to get to because of the cliffs so there is hardly ever anyone there which makes it perfect to enjoy nude, and the sand is pristine so soak up a little seclusion.

Just north of Pescadero, Pomponio State Beach. If the tide is low enough, walk south down the sand, past the large promontory, and over to your own secluded piece of Half Moon Bay. (If the tide is high, you’ll have to park along Hwy 1 — there’s a dirt pull-off about three quarters of a mile south of Pomponio State Beach lot that fits about ten cars — and scramble down a dirt path.) Long Gulch is named for the first drainage you’ll pass, but if you keep walking, you can make it all the way to Dairy Gulch. just 13 miles south of downtown Half Moon Bay.
