  • Description : The versatile Berendonck recreation area is located in Wijchen. There are many beach areas. On the southern side of the Berendonck. Nude recreation is only allowed on the designated beach. Since the 2019 beach season, the Berendonck has an officially designated nudist beach. 

    The beach is open with a beautiful view over the lake. It is very quiet and relaxed. There are a sandy beach and a lawn. A few meters outside the beach, the bank slopes steeply. There are toilets and there is an outdoor shower. 

    By means of signage it is indicated where the nudist beach starts and ends. As soon as you leave the beach and the sunbathing areas, you should be dressed. It is situated within a natural forest area with meadows. This very natural area is mainly made up of wooded areas with a few grass fields. The swim water is accessible via several hedge clearings. 

    There are children's play areas and a sandy beach on the textile area. Accessible 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset. Access to the recreation area is free.

  • Directions From Nijmegen-Dukenburg you take the Van Rosenburgweg towards Wijchen / Grave. The recreation area is on your left after about 3 kilometers.

    Bus from Nijmegen-NS or city service Nijmegen, stop 1 or 2 km away.

    By bike - from Nijmegen-Dukenburg via Parallelweg along the road N324 or through the tunnel under the A73. Turn right and drive past the sauna. The nudist beach is the first road on the left. There are bicycle stands

    By car from the A50 or A73 via the A326 towards Nijmegen-Dukenburg and at the large roundabout towards Grave; parking on the northwest side or via Panhuisweg, Groenewoudseweg and Weg ter Horst to free parking on the south side of the lake. Berendonck offers ample parking space to park your car for a day of carefree recreation there is a small daily fee or you can purchase a pass. The car parking area is unattended.
