  • Description : After a legal battle of more than 40 years, on Sunday 25 March 2018,Hawks Cliff becomes Ireland first official naturist beach.

    Hawks Cliff is a small bathing place just outside the village of Dalkey, not far from Dun Laoghaire, and is very accessible to the city of Dublin.

    The beach with pebbles is secluded and can only be reached on foot. To the right is a path down to a rocky cove. The sea can be choppy with undercurrents so care is needed while swimming. Due to this surfers also frequent the beach.

  • Directions In Dalkey turn onto Sorrento Road, turn right onto the coast road (Vico Road). The bathing place is signposted. Walk across the footbridge and follow the path. To the left there is a path down to the changing huts and diving board.
