There are no official nudist beaches in Cyprus. Appearing nude in public is illegal and this includes on beaches, the larger family beaches including the beach at Avdimou, have signs warning that nudism is not permitted.

However, over the years some of the more remote beaches have been the unofficial haunts of nudists who have been left alone by the authorities.
