This is not an oficial naturist beach but due to its remote situation it has become known for naturism. The torquise sea and gold sand back by cliffs covered in tropical vegetation makes it easy to understand why people go out of their way to visit this beach and enjoy it as the location demands - in their own natural state. The ocean floor is mostly sand with a relatively steep decline. Care should be taken while swimming specifically out of the summer season and baring in mind their are no lifeguards.The beach is good for seashell hunting, surfing, snorkeling and fishing. The tidal pools that form at the west end of the beach offer excellent places for young children to paddle.
For those wanting to explore - about a quarter mile to the west of the beach is a substantial waterfall that plunges about 15 feet into the Pacific Ocean. less

The beach has suffered from devastating erosion - houses lost as the cliffs are washed away. The section the left, as you enter, had a cliff that served as a scenic outlook, but it is now closed as access is dangerous. One section of that bluff has gone through very dramatic changes. At one time it was a natural bridge, then looked like the Sphinx and now a portion has a face that looks like a Scottish dog. The beach has two sections. The first part about 1/4 mile is family friendly. The upper end is clothing optional. Still family friendly. There are many beautiful rock formations, small cliff dunes, crashing waves, and fog that rolls in and out. less

You cross over the Lochsa River and follow a trail along the Warm Spring Creek all the way up to several hot springs. Along the way, you might be gifted with the presence of a moose. Free and open to the public year-round. The first spring is the "HOT" one, it literally gushes out of the side of hill and flows down about 20 feet into Warm Spring Creek. Before dumping into the chilly creek, the hot water pools in a couple of "hot tubs" made with walls of small rocks. If conditions are right, you can have your pick of several pools to take a dip into. When the creek is high, these pools can sometimes be submerged offering nowhere to enjoy the warmness.The next set of hot springs is a little hike further - a few hundred feet. These springs come right up from the ground a little further away from the creek. These pools aren't quiet as warm, but they are further away from the creek and are fairly protected. There are several sources of hot water here, so you might be able to gain more privacy here.Jerry used to be signed as clothing optional, but in 2009 the signage was removed from the trailhead. Nude is typically the norm here. Bring goggles or a snorkel mask! There are tons of trout in the creek that you can look at! Years ago these hot springs were a favorite for backpackers on their way into/from the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. In the late 90s, the FS initiated nighttime closure and made camping at/near the hot springs illegal in an effort the protect the badly abused hot springs. It remains under nighttime closure today. Open from 6am to 8pm. It should also be noted that there is no shade, bring something suitable as it can get very hot during July and August. less

There is a large pool at the very top of the cliff that is fed by a creek. The water spews over the cliff and creates 15 foot waterfalls of hot water to feed two more decently sized pools below. The water continues down from that into another pool. The farther you trek from the top pool, the cooler the water becomes. You will find a mix of textile and naturists sharing the pools.There is also a small "cave" down below the main pools that allow you to climb under the waterfalls.There are flat areas to pitch tents, and trees to put up hammocks. Please note camping isn't permitted within 500 feet of the hot springs. less
