    A picturesque and wonderful beach

Summary: Los Genoveses is within a controlled area, with a small charge for vehicle access. It has a relatively ample carpark with direct easy access to the main ‘textile’ area of the beach. Alternatively it can be accessed on foot, a relatively short (2km?) and easy walk from the resort of San José. This beach is very long, I’m guessing something like 2km around a sweeping bay. Although not offically classified as naturist, walking eastwards along the beach, or taking the path from the carpark which runs parallel to the beach, you access the Eastern half of the beach which is primarily frequented by naturists, once past a white rock outcrop which divides the bay almost in two. The naturist area, is naturally divided into several smaller ‘coves’ so moving along you can almost feel like you are on several different beaches. It also has a more 'rustic' feel than the 'textile' area. Access to the sea is very gradual, ideal for children, and the sand along the whole length of the beach is fine with very few pebbles and with easy, primarily flat access. Beach behaviour in my experience is exemplary, so again, ideal for families, couples, singles, everyone! Cleanliness is also extremely good, however as always there are a few negligent people about, mostly any rubbish, is that washed up on the shore from the boats that frequent the bay. I have visited this beach for many years, the last time being in October, 2022.
