A nice cove with a pleasant walk and lovely views
Recommended August 26, 2021 - by Steve ANW
Pros: A lovely location with fabulous rockpools
Cons: The cove basically consists of large rocks so not very comfy.

Summary: Anna and I had a lovely morning here and we plan to return one day with the boys who we think will love the rockpools. The water is really clean, the walk to the beach is fun and the cove is really peaceful. It is right on the coastal path so a fair amount of hikers go by. We both submerged ourselves in the large rockpools and found flat rocks to lie on. I had a little swim in the sea which was safe enough as the sea was quite calm. On a choppy day you may in in danger of being hit against the rocks. The views are nice and it was pleasant following the stream down to the cove. I read that the area is enjoyed for birdwatching and we did see a huge bird of prey so I guess this is true. There is only a small space for parking so this could be an issue. We will return.
