The Arambol beach also known as Harmal Beach, is 8 km stretch of golden sand running all the way to Morjim Beach in North Goa. Arambol first emerged in the 1960s as a hippie beach. Many still come to enjoy its drum circle, where people play drums and people gather to dance, it has a distinct bohemian feel which is not really found in other areas.
It is also popular for its ‘local mud’ baths; visitors enjoy applying onto their nude bodies. The main beach is gently curved and safe for swimming but often crowded. For a quieter beach scene head south towards Mandrem, where you are more than likely to encounter some foreign naturists.
