Umhlanga lagoon is a 26 hectares (64 acres) nature reserve on the shore of the Indian Ocean at Umhlanga Rocks, South Africa. At the mouth of the lagoon there is a popular but unofficial naturist beach.
Nude bathing is available near the lagoon towards Umdloti, about a kilometre north from the end of the boardwalk along a beautiful beach flanked by a natural forest nature reserve. The waters along this shoreline are crystal clear and turquoise blue. This is not an official naturist beach, but naturism is tolerated here and it is free and open for everyone.
