Between Gap Beach and Smoky Cape are four small isolated beaches each located in a gap in the steep rocky shore. North Smokey Beach is an unofficial naturist beach, due to its seclusion, isolation, and is only accessible on foot.

Located in the northernmost section of Hat Head National Park. North Smokey Beach is exposed to high waves and dominated by rocks and permanent rips, and backed by steep vegetated slopes.
