Casuarina Beach is one of the most popular in Darwin, extending from Rapid Creek through Casuarina to Lee Point. This is a clothing optional beach, and nude bathing is signposted at starts 500 meters from the parking area. The beach is a wide expanse of white sand. It is fairly shallow and to walk out to get into water above your knee caps can be a far distance at low tides.
Box jellyfish are present in these seas almost all year round, however June, July and August they are considered safe for swimming. The occasional crocodile is spotted here too, so be vigilant.
