Murrippi Beach is an official nudist beach within South Australia and is nearby to Mount Young and Eight Mile Creek Beach.
Successful representations from a local club were made to the Local & State Governments for an area where the club could practice nude bathing legally, as a result, Murrippi beach was given nudist status in 1985.
It is 1.3 km long beach and backed by 2 km of salt flats and fronted by 1 km wide sand flats. Beach-goers are asked to show respect to other beach users, and to take great care on unpatrolled beaches as the sea can be dangerous at times. Visitors are welcome to use the beach, but should note that it is an undeveloped section of coastline, which does not have facilities, is not signposted, and may be difficult to locate.
