Lake Wanaka lies at the heart of the Otago Lakes in the lower South Island of New Zealand. A 100 meter walk from Homestead Bay is the spot most preferred by naturists, it is a large area to the right, with tree covering for shade.
The lake is 27 miles long and it's western shore is lined with high peaks rising to over 2000 meters above sea level. Along the eastern shore the land is also mountainous, but the peaks are somewhat lower. For many years the southern end of the lake has been a popular tourist and holiday area.
