Velka Vodarenska Water Reservoir is one of the oldest water reservoirs in Banská Štiavnica. It was built in 1510. The lake is no longer used as a source of drinking water for Banská Štiavnica, it now comes from Rozgrund. So swimming is allowed here.

The Great Water Pond is famous for its beautiful turquoise watercolor, it has a maximum depth of 14 m. The lake measures about 90x90m, so even though nudists are on the shore in the woods, the regime is mixed in the water (floats from the beach towards the textile beach and back).

The entrance is free, and is open all year round. Situated between wooded environment with medium trees all around giving good privacy.
