Piémanson with its seven kilometers of fine sand in the middle of the Camargue, a few minutes from the village of Salin-de-Giraud the town of Arles.
The wide expanse of this sandy beach stretches in both directions as far as the eye can see. Officially a nudist beach managed by the French Naturist Federation which begins about 1 km from the lifeguard station of Piemanson (on the left, going towards the mouth of the Rhône). The area is well marked with blue signs and a small white FFN cabin.
This beautiful beach used to be overrun by caravans that would settle here for the summer. But now by order of the mayor, this beach since 2016 has become a wild beach once again where camping is totally prohibited. The drive to the beach offers the chance to watch wild flamingos and other wading birds at close range.
