Lake Engelgaarde is situated on the North Eastern side of Meppel, The meadow situated on the Southern side has been especially set up for nudists.

There is a wooded area around the lake and is used by various people such as divers, walkers, fishermen and beach goers.The lake is beautifully clean and approx 20 meters deep. You will find it is rich in underwater fauna and is the habitat for Perch, Rudd, Carp, Pike and Crayfish.
