Plage du Lac de Chalain is the largest natural lake in the Jura. Surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers, Lake Chalain, with an area of 232 km², offers peace and simplicity. There are 3 supervised beaches upon the lake.
The naturist beach is located on the north shore of the lake in the extension of the campsite La Pergola before camping Domaine Chalain. The Hérisson waterfalls are located a few dozen kilometers from the campsite of La Pergola. A parade of 31 waterfalls, each one more beautiful than the other, counts as one of the most emblematic tourist spots in the Jura.
A small paradise with turquoise waters. At the edge of the lake, the remains of villages with houses on stilts dating from 3000 years before have stayed preserved remarkably well under the water level. Authorized beach on 150 m on the north shore of Chalain lake.
