North Bank Park is located at the south end of Texas Avenue, in Richmond.The park is known to many as Texas Beach (because access is from Texas avenue). A long, single track leads to many isolated sandy beaches and sunbathing rocks. It is a popular sunbathing spot, and dog walking area. Nudity is practiced in the quieter areas, and has been so for many years, it is popular with gay nude bathers, and although authorities do not turn a blind eye to nudity, the difficulty of accessing this site provides visitors with some protection.

Texas Beach has one of the safest access points within the Park for wading and swimming due to the shallow water and slower rapids. Here you can enjoy a spot of underwater snorkeling and witness the many turtles, shells, snails, fish and unusual river-bottom features.
