Laguna Creek Beach is a clothing optional beach, situated near Santa Cruz. The biggest and nicest part of this beach is the southern section so continue on the loop at the end of the old road until you reach the larger beach next to Laguna Creek. The beach is more popular with birds than with people. With all kinds of water fowl as well as otters, seals and even whales. The main beach can get quite windy. It's great for walking and sightseeing, but traditional beach days may be limited. There's a main cove when you first get off the path. It tends to be less windy there. With beautiful views of the southern cliffs.
The north and south coves are clothing optional. You cannot see the north cove from the main beach. The south cove is by the huge rock cliff and is more beach-like than the north. If you are going for the clothing optional element, you should know that this beach attracts gay men almost exclusively. It's usually not very crowded regardless, but if you want a better mix of traditional nude beachgoers, go to Bonny Doon a few miles north.
As far as nude beaches go, it doesn't have good water access, but the scenery is nice and the ocean and tide pools are very close to the sand. It's not the best nude beach, but it has nice seclusion, mesmerizing waves and lovely birds.
