Located deep within the scenic Sawtooth National Recreation Area, the tubs at West Pass sit on a hillside bluff overlooking the rushing waters of West Pass Creek. An old abandoned mine shaft, is the source that feeds the three cast-iron bathtubs known as West Pass Hot Springs. Hoses running from the old mine shaft supply 112-degree F water to three bathtubs perched side by side above West Pass Creek. You can lower the soaking temperature by diverting the hoses. You can freely forget the swimsuit this far off-grid, and don’t forget to drain and clean the tubs after enjoying the soak. There’s also a seasonal pool or two down on the creek. With an old cabin which lies in ruins nearby.
