Also known as Spratting Cove. A small rocky/sandy beach at the foot of a precarious and winding footpath, Basset’s Cove is a quiet niche hidden along one of the busier stretches of the Cornish coast. Located between Godrey and Portreath Basset's Cove is situated at the bottom of sheer cliffs. You are unlikely to meet anyone else and can have a good time sunbathing nude.
Keep an eye on those tide tables the beach can disappear! Seals are spotted regularly, with seasonal breeding grounds in many of the coves along this coastline. Hell's Mouth, is nearby and is one of the regions most infamous suicide spots. Portreath is in the other direction.
