La Playa de Sa Cánova is a white sand beach of Sa Canova measuring about 1500 meters long by 100 meters deep and lies between Son Serra de Marina and Colònia de Sant Pere. The beach is surrounded by virgin mountain that creates a magnificent backdrop to the landscape.
Declared in 1991 as a Natural Area of Special Interest due to its abundance in archaeological sites and its diversity in flora and fauna. This virgin and beautiful beach of turquoise waters has fine sand, with conchiferous grain, and outcrops of rocks.
This ecological wealth is only interrupted by abandoned or half-built houses and a network of canals behind the dunes. Long and beautiful beach, surrounded by nature, with a pond where the torrent ends. There are few beaches in Mallorca that can boast such a low level of occupancy of swimmers and nudists, even in the summer months of July and August.

- Directions One can reach Sa Canova by two routes. One way is through the Colònia de Sant Pere. On this side, the beach of Sa Canova tends to be much more deserted, which is a better option for naturists, however it implies a small walk from the parking (5-10 min). One drawback is that this part of the beach is in the very corner of the bay of Alcudia and can accumulate a lot of seaweed due to the currents. However, as one continues to walk, algae usually begin to disperse. The other route is through Son Serra de Marina and is generally the preferred access point, however, this can lead to the larger crowd in the summer months of more affluence. To reach La Playa de Sa Cánova from Artà. Take the direction for Santa Margalida street which is on the outskirts of the municipality and becomes the Artà-Port d'Alcúdia road (Ma-12). Continue along this route for nine kilometers. After which you will want to turn right by a secondary road that will travel for two and a half miles until you reach a sort of roundabout. Take the second exit of the roundabout along a path that will lead you to the vicinity of this beach. At this point you can park your vehicle for free and you have to walk for about five minutes until you reach La Playa de Sa Cánova . Route: 15,7 km. Time: 20 minutes.
