Fingal beach offers a wide long, white sandy beach stretching about 4 kilometres to the breakwater on the tweed river. Depending on the weather you can visit beautiful Dreamtime beach on the southern side of the headland.  

This quiet beach with breathtaking views and protected from the southerly winds. It enjoys a laid back charm and is popular with the locals. Gone are the big buildings and hustle and bustle of other town close by. There are great little walkways through the bush to the lighthouse and the amazing rocky headland. From the headland Cook Island can be clearly seen and also Dreamtime beach which you can walk down to from the headland also. Follow the signs to the beach and there is parking at the surf lifesaving club. Then walk down the beach to be greeted by 3km of beach to the north and 500m to the south and you will be probably one of the only persons on the beach. Fingal beach is not an authorised naturist beach, but we have been informed that it is perfectly suitable as clothing optional so long as you keep an eye out so offense is not given.

Summer can get busy but all you have to do is walk 500m north and you will be by yourself.
