In 1936 Soren Sorensen created a nudist holiday camp on an island near Copenhagen and founded the first nudist club in Scandinavia called Sunny Sports North.

Ågesta nude beach is an official beach for nudists located in the southern end of the lake Magelungen close to Farsta and Södertörn. The beach is owned and operated by Stockholm city. Set in an idyllic place within Stockholm city limits. It’s the top choice among local naturists thanks to the picturesque Magelungen lake, a small cozy sandy beach, nice green lawn surrounded by trees. At the edge of the beach there is a jetty with a ladder for those who want to directly get to deep water. Just inside the beach is a large grassy area. In the summer it is often populated by several hundred sunbathing naturists. Just when you get down on the grass, there is a bicycle parking where bicycles to be parked. Bicycles may not be carried out on the lawn or beach. Water Quality: Water quality is checked several times per bathing season. The results are published in the Marine and Water Authority's website.
