A popular beach between Llantwit Major and Bridgend, the beach is used by all naturists, families, Non naturists and people walking the Wales coast path near Monknash, Glamorgan, Wales.
The beach faces South West and is a mixture of sand, shingle and rock slabs backed by 50 metre high limestone cliffs.
The tides in the Severn Estuary are the second highest in the world so there is a risk of entrapment on a rising tide, however there are ladders at the back of the beach to escape but it might be worth checking these on your first visit as they are very exposed.
swimming from the beach is possible at all states of the tide but is best approx 3 hours either side of low tide when the sand is exposed.
