Located in the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park.Honokohau Harbor Beach has a section of beach at the northern end of the trail which is popular for nude bathing and is popular with gays. There is a history of authorities fining folks for nudity, so use caution.

Upon this beach you will see turtles on the shore and swimming in the shallow water around the fish trap. You’re required to keep twenty feet away from the sea turtles, but it’s easy to keep a respectful distance as you walk the beach. Be sure to keep on eye out on the ocean, there are whales and dolphins that will also frequent the area.

Beach shoes are advisable as there are lots of broken shells & pieces of coral.
