Playa Chiquita is a small secluded beach in the South Caribbean side, sandwiched between Playa Cocles and Punta UVA beaches. It is not an official nude beach, but locals are tolerant of nudity, and even some join, as long if its done away from the main entrances.
Every so often there are flat rocks in the sea which create shallow rock pools where you can sit. Where there are gaps in the rocks and you can go deeper into the sea. But don’t go too far out as there are rip tides that will carry you off!
Locally
As a place to stay, Playa Chiquita offers: lodges, hotels and rental properties, a range of restaurants and a well stocked supermarket. If you don’t have a car, there are public busses that run between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo and there are places to hire bikes and the terrain is mainly flat.
