Vera is located on the east coast of Almeria, its coastline is made up of extensive sandy beaches, with more than six kilometers of the maritime strip and an average width of fifty meters. One of the sandy beaches known as Playazo de Vera is a Naturist Beach, known internationally for being the first naturist enclave of Europe.
It's probably the main Naturist resort Europe. In high season approx 12,000 naturist tourist frequent here. Some people are very pleased that they are able to walk to and from their cars, and to one of the many beach bars without having to cover up. Others are under the opinion that naturism has become a tourist trap here.
